SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 30, 2025) |
Firstmark Credit Union is pleased to announce it has donated over $7,300 in school supplies to 10 school districts, thanks to contributions made from its third annual Classroom Supply Drive. This marks the largest donation generated by the drive to date.
The supply drive—which started back on June 16 and went through August 15 of this year—has become an annual event Firstmark, providing resources to teachers and students while paying homage to the credit union’s founding ten teachers. Collecting everything from paper and pens to tissues and sanitizing wipes, the contributions would not have been possible without Firstmark’s members, employees, and the countless people within the community who supported the give back.
“We are incredibly thankful to our members, Firstmark staff, and greater community for showing up to support our school districts,” said Marisa Pérez-Díaz, executive director of the Firstmark Foundation. “As a credit union that was founded by teachers, it makes this give that much more special, being there for them—in addition to their students—when they need it most. This is an event we look forward to every year since it started in 2023, and it’s just one way we can show appreciation for all their dedication in helping our future generations.”
The 10 school districts where the supplies got distributed were blended across San Antonio, La Vernia, and New Braunfels, Texas. Firstmark is thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with local schools, as well as other partners in making a positive difference in the communities it serves and looks forward to next year’s drive.
