CEFCU® announced a new partnership with My First Nest Egg, a family-first financial wellness program designed to help children and parents build healthy money habits together. The collaboration expands CEFCU’s commitment to supporting financial education by providing free, age-appropriate resources that make learning about money simple and fun.
Rooted in the belief that strong habits start early, CEFCU will provide branded, ready-to-use content from My First Nest Egg, including engaging printable activities, classroom worksheets, and monthly educational materials focused on saving, spending, earning, and giving. These resources help families and educators introduce key financial concepts in a way that’s practical, hands-on, and easy to integrate into daily life.
“At CEFCU, we believe that strong financial habits begin early. By partnering with My First Nest Egg, we have the opportunity to bring an engaging, age-appropriate financial literacy program directly into the lives of children and families,” said Janā Stevens, CEFCU SVP,
Marketing & Strategic Communications. “Our goal is to help equip tomorrow’s adults with the knowledge, confidence, and mindset to make smart money decisions from day one—because we know that empowering young people today strengthens our communities for the future.”
The partnership aligns with CEFCU’s long-standing philosophy of People Helping People, reflecting a shared mission to foster financial confidence and lifelong wellness. Together, CEFCU and My First Nest Egg are helping communities make financial education accessible, engaging, and relevant for every family.
Co-founded by two mothers and former attorneys, Nicolle Hood and Annie Shoen, My First Nest Egg was created to address the shortage of fun, developmentally appropriate ways to teach kids about money. The program transforms financial concepts into activities, stories, and psychology-backed lessons designed for children ages 3–13.
“Our mission is to make financial education part of everyday family life—on the fridge, in classrooms, and around the dinner table,” said Nicolle Hood, Co-Founder & CEO of My First Nest Egg. “CEFCU’s community-driven approach and dedication to helping families thrive make this partnership a perfect fit. Together, we’re giving parents and educators simple, joyful tools to build lifelong money habits.”
