New York, NY (October 29, 2025) |
Municipal Credit Union (MCU), the New York Metro area’s largest credit union, today announced the promotion of Tracy Helm to Senior Vice President of Operations and Digital Services. The promotion recognizes Helm’s outstanding contributions to the organization and her steadfast focus on both strengthening performance organization-wide and enhancing value for members.
“As a credit union, our mission is to help hard-working New Yorkers build better tomorrows,” said Kyle Markland, Chief Executive Officer of MCU. “Tracy has been a driving force in that mission, ensuring our members receive the reliable, high-quality service they deserve. As we continue advancing our digital capabilities here at MCU, we are excited to see Tracy take on this expanded role and help us continue delivering a more advanced and connected offering for our members.”
Helm first joined MCU in June 2021 as a consultant, later becoming a full-time employee in May 2024. Helm has been instrumental in MCU’s daily financial operations, driving efficiency and reliability across critical payment functions and deposit operations. Helm is a seasoned leader with more than three decades of experience in credit unions and financial technology. Before joining MCU, Helm held leadership roles at payment processing company Jack Henry & Associates.
As Vice President of Operations, Helm oversaw Card Services, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Deposit Operations and Zelle. In her new role, Helm’s responsibilities are expanding to encompass the ownership of MCU’s Digital Services.
During her time as Vice President of Operations, Helm streamlined dispute processing, reduced credit card losses by over 50%, and increased debit spend by 10%. She has recently revamped the MCU credit portfolio to include new designs and reward offerings. Helm additionally constructed a high performing leadership team from the ground up and created cross functional dispute teams. By championing automation, she has reduced manual work, saving thousands of person-hours in the process.
“This promotion recognizes everything that Tracy brings to our organization and the communities we serve,” added Toni-Ann Sforza, MCU’s Chief Operating Officer. “She exemplifies our core values, consistently putting members and employees first, and is universally respected across MCU for her experience, insight, and ability to get results.”
