EECU celebrates Fresno Unified Excellence in Education honorees

FRESNO, CA (February 23, 2026) |

Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) proudly sponsored the Fresno Unified School District’s annual Excellence in Education awards ceremony, an event that recognized outstanding educators, administrators, and classified staff for their dedication to students and schools throughout the district.

Held on February 19, the celebration honored 60 finalists in six categories, highlighting individuals whose commitment and passion make a difference in the lives of Fresno Unified students. Honorees were selected through a nomination and review process designed to reflect both peer recognition and professional excellence.

“These honorees represent the very best of education and it was a privilege for EECU to support Fresno Unified in recognizing the impact they make in the lives of students every day,” said Elizabeth J. Dooley, EECU president and CEO.

The Excellence in Education awards program brought together more than 800 educators, families, district leaders, and community partners to recognize those whose work helps students thrive academically and personally.

“Our educators and staff are the foundation of our district’s success,” said Misty Her, Fresno Unified School District superintendent. “We were grateful for EECU’s partnership in honoring the individuals who go above and beyond for our students and families.”

EECU’s sponsorship of the Fresno Unified Excellence in Education awards reflects the credit union’s long-standing commitment to education and its support of the school communities it serves. In addition to Fresno Unified, EECU partners with County Offices of Education across Central California and the Central Coast to recognize and celebrate excellence in education.
