Kitsap Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative serving communities across Washington state, announced the appointment of Shawn Walker as Vice President of Product Strategy.
Walker began his role in January 2026 leading the strategic direction, development, and growth of Kitsap Credit Union’s product portfolio across digital and traditional credit union offerings. His responsibilities include overseeing the product management team, guiding product innovation, and ensuring that Kitsap Credit Union delivers competitive, member-centered solutions aligned with its mission and values.
Walker reports directly to Simon Powley, Chief Revenue Officer at Kitsap Credit Union. His work will focus on aligning product strategy with member needs, strengthening the credit union’s competitive position, and enhancing the overall member experience through thoughtful application of technology.

Extensive Financial Services Leadership Experience
Walker brings more than a decade of leadership experience in financial services, spanning product strategy, treasury management, and organizational innovation.
Most recently, he served as Vice President Treasurer at Columbia Credit Union in Vancouver, Washington, where he led the strategic direction of the Treasury Department, delivered real-time analytical insights, and championed innovation to improve operational efficiency.
Previously, Walker spent nearly eight years as Vice President of Deposit Products, where he partnered with executive leadership to shape deposit product strategies, pricing, fees, and membership growth. In this role, he led complex, cross-functional initiatives requiring innovative thinking and strong collaboration.

As Vice President of Product Strategy, Walker will focus on building a strong, forward-looking product roadmap, fostering collaboration across teams, and ensuring Kitsap Credit Union’s products remain relevant, accessible, and member-focused in an increasingly digital financial landscape.
