Members 1st Charitable Foundation awards $50,000 in grants to 12 local nonprofits during first funding cycle of  2026

The Members 1st Charitable Foundation, which is celebrating its five-year  anniversary, is proud to announce the recipients of its first funding cycle of 2026. In total,  $50,000 was awarded to 12 nonprofit organizations that actively advance the Foundation’s  mission of fostering stronger, healthier and more financially sound communities across South  Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania. 

“As we begin a new year of giving, we are grateful for the opportunity to support organizations  that are making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve,” said Sara Firestone, Vice  President of Community Engagement and Public Relations at Members 1st Federal Credit  Union and Executive Director of the Members 1st Charitable Foundation. “Each of these  nonprofits is doing important work to uplift individuals and families, and we are proud to help  support their efforts.” 

The following organizations have been selected to receive grants for their notable projects and  initiatives: 

  • A Week Away Foundation – Lancaster County, PA 
  • Aaron's Acres – Lancaster County, PA 
  • Carlisle Area Sertoma Club – Cumberland County, PA 
  • Children’s Home of York – York County, PA 
  • Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity Inc. – Lycoming County, PA 
  • Join Hands Ministry Inc. – Perry County, PA 
  • Loads of Blessings – Lehigh County, PA 
  • Roller Nation Foundation – Dauphin County, PA 
  • Sexual Assault Resource & Counseling Center of Lebanon & Schuylkill – Lebanon  County, PA 
  • Someone To Tell It To Inc. – Dauphin County, PA 
  • The Arc of York & Adams Counties – Adams County, PA 
  • Valley Youth House Committee Inc. – Northampton County, PA 

Grant recipients were selected for their dedication to advancing financial education, economic  opportunity, youth support, health access and overall community enrichment. 

The Foundation’s second funding cycle of 2026 will close on May 1. Nonprofit organizations  interested in applying can find eligibility guidelines and application details at  members1stfoundation.org.
