GRAND RAPIDS, MI (April 14, 2026) |
Bloom Credit Union will celebrate the Grand Opening of their new Wyoming branch at 911 28th Street S.W., on Wednesday, April 15, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:30 am. “Our organization has deep roots in the Wyoming community, so we’re excited about opening this branch and continuing to help the community to grow and prosper”, Joe Heintskill, CEO of WMCU said.
“With our new mission we’re focusing more on environmental sustainability. We plant a tree for each new account through a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. We sponsor Earth Day festivals, team members help plant trees at Arbor Fest and Neighborwoods, we’ll give away plants at our Grand Opening and bikes during Bike-To-Work Week. It’s created some fun energy within the organization.”
“The new branch offers state-of-the-art financial services, with Interactive ATMs in drive-up service lanes, allowing members a convenient option to interact directly with Bloom representatives on the screen,” Heintskill said. “This contemporary new space will allow us to better serve our current members, while offering local residents a valuable financial services alternative.
“It’s just a few blocks from U.S. 131, so it’s convenient for anyone traveling through the area,” Heintskill continued. Bloom sold their 1414 Burton St. S.W. branch building to Godfrey Lee Public Schools, providing them with some much-needed space nearby. “It was a great situation for both organizations,” Heintskill said. Last year, Bloom moved its Administrative Offices from that location to 401 Hall Street S.W. An Interactive ATM will soon be available inside that Godfrey Lee building for those who wish to continue to use that location. “It shows what neighbors can do when they work together,” Heintskill said.
