Reliant Staff Strengthen Community partnerships through United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes initiatives

SODUS, NY (June 23, 2026) |

Reliant Credit Union and its employees are making a meaningful difference across the community through a series of impactful initiatives in partnership with the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes.

During a recent team training and development day, Reliant incorporated a give-back activity during which staff assembled 400 community care snack kits for the United Way.  The snack kits, which were distributed to various community organizations and school districts, will help address food insecurity and support children and families throughout the summer.

Reliant employees also showed their dedication by stepping up in large numbers during the 2026 United Way Day of Caring. A total of 29 Reliant staff members volunteered their time and energy at three community organizations—Cracker Box Palace, Bridges for Brain Injury Inc. and Villa of Hope—volunteering a collective 230 hours to support these important community programs.

In addition to the Reliant team providing hands-on service, the credit union is also proud to sponsor the upcoming United Way LIVE, an event where bands from local workplaces will hit the stage to raise funds for United Way and support programs like Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Reliant’s commitment to supporting the United Way extends to its participation in the annual United Way campaign, during which the credit union encourages employee participation by offering staff incentives for donating to United Way. These incentives have helped boost engagement and amplify support for programs that address critical needs throughout the region.

“At Reliant, we believe in the power of community and the importance of showing up for our neighbors,” said Pamela Heald, President & CEO of Reliant. “Our partnership with United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes allows us to extend our impact and make a tangible difference in the lives of those around us.”

"Corporate partners like Reliant Credit Union are the backbone of everything we do at United Way," said Jaime Saunders, President and CEO of United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes. "When local businesses bring their employees together to volunteer, give, and advocate, the ripple effect across our community is extraordinary. Reliant Credit Union's commitment is a shining example of what it looks like when a business truly invests in the wellbeing of its neighbors. We are grateful for this partnership and the countless lives it helps touch."
