Michigan State University Federal Credit Union creates new senior VP positions

EAST LANSING, MI (October 7, 2013) -- Patrick McPharlin, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MSU Federal Credit Union, is pleased to announce the promotions of Lea Ammerman to MSUFCU’s Senior Vice President of Branches and Samantha Amburgey to MSUFCU’s Senior Vice President of Remote Services. These newly created positions will allow for the continued focus on member service as the Credit Union grows.

Lea Ammerman, has worked for MSUFCU since August 2002, and previously held the position of Vice President of Branches before being promoted to Senior Vice President of Branches. Bringing 25 years of financial services experience to her role, she will continue to oversee the Credit Union’s branch operations which will grow to 15 branches by year-end 2014. Ammerman holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business Administration from Northwood University, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Michigan State University. She serves on the MSU’s Weekend MBA (WMBA) Alumni Association Board of Directors, and also on the Advisory Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Mid-Michigan.

Samantha Amburgey, has been with MSUFCU since July of 2004, and was previously the  Vice President of eCommerce and eServices before being promoted to Senior Vice President of Remote Services. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing MSUFCU’s eServices, eCommerce, and Call Center departments. Amburgey holds a Bachelors of Arts  (BA) degree in Sociology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
