PORTLAND,OR (October 30, 2013) -- Unitus Community Credit Union, a Portland-based credit union with more than 82,000 members, announced today the addition of Brian Devereux as Vice President of Lending. Devereux will lead the credit union’s overall strategic lending strategies that strengthen member services, effectively manage risk and further enhance Unitus’ reputation as one of Oregon’s strongest financial institutions.
Devereux brings more than two decades of related experience to Unitus, fulfilling key leadership roles at institutions with more than $1 billion in assets. Most recently, Devereux served as Seattle Bank’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He has also led strategic operations and lending services at other West Coast financial institutions, as well as served as an examiner with the FDIC.

Devereux holds a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Oregon and an M.B.A. from the University of Portland. He is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society for collegiate schools of business and has served on financial industry compliance and lending committees.
