SAN ANTONIO, TX (November 4, 2013) -- Security Service Federal Credit Union (SSFCU) is pleased to announce Eileen Mares has been selected to serve as the branch manager for its facility on Nacogdoches Road. In her role, she will be responsible for the overall operation of the branch, including handling cash operations, overseeing member service, meeting established goals, and promoting SSFCU products and services.
Mares joined the credit union in 1998 as a vocational education student. Throughout her 15-year career, she has steadily worked her way to management: loan file technician, loan receptionist, member service representative level 1, member service representative level 2, member service officer, senior member service officer, assistant service center manager, service center manager and senior branch manager.
In addition to her work experience, Mares is on the board of directors for the Southwest Outreach for Older People (SWOOP) as a treasurer and secretary, vice president of membership for Toastmasters International-CU Speak Club, yearly participant of the San Antonio Light the Night Walk, active supporter of United Way, Alamo Chapter of Credit Unions participant, and member of Open Arms International Ministries.
She is currently pursuing a degree in business and management at Palo Alto College. Mares was also selected for the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s City South Leadership Academy of 2013-2014.
