More than 300 entrants compete for 20 spots on prestigious annual list
ALISO VIEJO, CA (November 2, 2013) -- Platinum Data Solutions has announced that Lisa Binkley, its senior vice president of business development and mortgage services, has been named one of HousingWire’s 2013 Women of Influence, an annual awards program that honors women who have made key contributions to the housing and lending industries.
Ms. Binkley is one of only 20 women named to this year’s list. She has more than 25 years of mortgage industry experience and has been working for Platinum Data Solutions, the premier provider of collateral evaluation and quality technologies for the mortgage industry, since September 2012.
HousingWire’s annual Women of Influence program is based on nominations solicited directly from the industry, and focuses on tangible, measurable contributions made by women executives in mortgage banking during the most recent 12-month period. This year was the third year for the annual list and HousingWire received over 300 applications—a record to date. This year’s list includes only 20 women, compared to more than 30 women selected in each of the previous years.
Ms. Binkley was recognized for her contributions to Platinum Data as well as to the industry as a whole. One of her primary accomplishments in the past year was establishing and building out Platinum Data’s small to midsize lender channel. Her success with this initiative brought a significant increase in business from the segment, thus enhancing the company’s bottom line and long term viability, as well as the mortgage industry’s overall quality of appraisals. Ms. Binkley’s additional contributions include: crafting some of Platinum’s solutions specifically for the small and midsize market; opening previously untapped markets by creating new uses for Platinum products in the post closing quality audit and home equity lending sectors; and initiating product enhancements that further differentiate RealView, the company’s flagship appraisal quality verification technology.
"Influential Women in Housing is a special and unique program for us at HousingWire," said Paul Jackson, CEO and publisher at HousingWire. "This annual list has become something of a gold standard in the industry, given the high standards we’ve put into place for selecting each of our honorees."
Prior to her work with Platinum Data, Ms. Binkley held executive positions with companies that include IMARC, Equifax, Rapid Reporting and Homecomings Financial. She was formerly a chair of the MBA Quality Assurance Leadership Council, a vice chair of the MBA Fraud and Ethics working group, and a co-chair of the Fraud and Ethics committee Identity Theft white papers.
“HousingWire’s recognition of Lisa demonstrates the importance of the roles that both she and Platinum Data play in the mortgage market today,” said Phil Huff, CEO of Platinum Data. “Lisa is deservedly named alongside a U.S. senator, a congresswoman, and women from some of the largest, most influential, and most well respected organizations in our industry. This award pays tribute to Lisa’s expertise and dedication, while also validating Platinum’s positive impact on the way lenders underwrite appraisals and manage collateral risk.”
“This honor goes to show how important quality and compliance are in collateral evaluations today,” said Binkley. “Our lender clients are doing everything they can to achieve a consistent, repeatable process because they won’t settle for anything less than the highest quality and compliance for collateral evaluations. Without our clients’ insight and resolve, I could never have received this distinction.”
