Grow Financial encourages young women to reach their potential at the 2015 Young Women’s Leadership Symposium

Event to be held on March 21, 2015

TAMPA, FL, (March 16, 2015) -- Grow Financial, one of the leading Credit Unions in the nation, announced they will participate in the Young Women’s Leadership Symposium for the 7th consecutive year in a row.  This year’s event will be held on Saturday, March 21 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Epicurean Hotel in Downtown Tampa.

The 2015 Young Women’s Leadership Symposium promotes the development of our future women leaders by giving them access to influential business women in the Tampa Bay area, such as Kimberly Woollard, Chief Human Resources Officer for Grow Financial Federal Credit Union, one of the event chairs for the symposium.

Woollard has become the “go to” person for many other HR professionals and business leaders in the area and continues to represent Grow Financial on various committees and in other organizations.  In 2011, the National Diversity Council named Woollard “one of the most powerful and influential women for 2011”.  Kim is also a graduate of the Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Tampa Class of 2014.

This year’s symposium will feature keynote speaker, Denise Schilte-Brown, the Head Coach of women’s soccer at the University of South Florida.  Denise’s session will focus on positive affirmation, building self-confidence and self-talk for women.

Workshop sessions will include topics on how to protect your credit led by Gail Wean, Senior Vice President and CFO of Grow Financial Federal Credit Union and Facebook privacy settings by Jenni Stone, HR Director and Partner at HR Shield.

“I am honored to be able to take part in this special event each year and speak to the young women attendees”, said Woollard.  “Those attending the symposium will be able to hear from real people who have redefined the image of women in society.”
