Neighbors FCU employee named a “Crasher” for 2018 Crash the GAC

Neighbors contact center assistant manager, Christiana Beckham, has been named one of 78 “Crashers” nationwide to go to CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) on February 25.

These crashers will head to Washington D.C. to meet with industry leaders for mentoring sessions and networking opportunities. Crash the GAC was created as an opportunity for young, up-and-coming credit union professionals to develop and enhance their skills.

“We are very proud of Christiana’s great achievement, and we know she will do an outstanding job representing Neighbors in Washington D.C.,” Neighbors President and CEO Steve Webb said. “Only 78 credit union employees nationwide received this honor, so that speaks to the body of work Christiana has put in at Neighbors. We consider her an invaluable asset.”

“The Crashers program is great for young credit union professionals, for GAC, and for the entire movement,” CUNA President and CEO Jim Nussle said in a statement.”

This year Louisiana will have two “Crashers” including Beckham and Chad Miller of Southwest Louisiana Credit Union.

Crash the GAC provided by The Cooperative Trust and Filene Research Institute, and is funded by the support of Credit Union National Association, and with help from Credit Union Leagues/Associations.
