People’s Credit Union receives Friends of 4-H Award

People's Credit Union was recently presented with the Friends of 4-H award at the Annual 4-H Awards Banquet held at the Quidnessett Country Club. The award recognized People's Credit Union's sponsorship of the University of Rhode Island's Rhody Rams Men's Basketball's 'People's Credit Union 3 Point Co-op Shot' in which a donation is made for every 3-pointer made at a home game. In attendance to accept the award were People's Credit Union representatives, Courtney Hunter, Marketing Manager, as well as Michael Hey, Branch Manager of the Credit Union's Wakefield office.

"Through URI's Cooperative Extension, statewide 4-H programs provide hands-on experiential learning opportunities to local youth, supporting the 4-H mission focusing on science education, healthy lifestyles, and citizenship," said Courtney Hunter. "We are pleased to be a community partner with 4-H, and are honored to receive this award and for supporting 4-H's efforts to empower young people develop the skills to lead for a lifetime."
