Neighbors FCU has released the first half of the Financial Literacy course schedule for 2018 and is as follows:
“We are excited to revamp our Financial Literacy program this year with some new venues times and experiences,” Neighbors Financial Literacy Coordinator Kim Chapman said. “Our goal was to take a quality over quantity approach to workshops in hopes that the program could become entertaining and educational.”
Neighbors FCU will feature workshops at satellite locations periodically including the Kids and Cash workshop at Laser Tag of Baton Rouge April 26th. For this workshop Neighbors will provide a complimentary game of Laser Tag for kids 46 inches and taller.
Additionally, Neighbors will host workshops at the newly renovated Administrative building located at 8245 YMCA Plaza Blvd. located directly behind the Perkins branch. This new facility is equipped with three large touch screen monitors and will allow Neighbors to host much larger class sizes.
Traditionally Neighbors has hosted workshops on Thursday nights. But, Neighbors will host the Croissants and Credit workshop April 21st on a Saturday morning.
“Our hope is that by adding new times, locations and activities we will be able to make an impact or more people this year,” Chapman said. “We are really trying to make a positive impact for Baton Rouge by equipping them with Financial Knowledge.”
