Creating a setting where high-tech banking is complemented by a knowledgeable staff of member-service representatives, NEFCU debuted a sleek new branch in Oceanside today, the credit union’s first of several new branches slated to open in 2018.
The 2,055-square-foot branch is the latest example of NEFCU’s desire to open an increasing number of smaller-size branches throughout Long Island. These new locations are equipped with the latest banking technology, coupled with an experienced staff of banking experts who walk the floor in assisting members with basic services, as well as providing guidance with investments, mortgages and all types of other loans and banking products.
The Oceanside branch, NEFCU’s 16th on Long Island, is located at 3195 Long Beach Road, inside the T.J. Maxx Shopping Center.
A total of five people will staff the branch during the day: a branch manager, an assistant branch manager and three member service representatives. In addition to two 24-hour ATMs, the new location will feature two Interactive Teller Machines, where members can interact discreetly and directly with live, on-screen NEFCU tellers who are located a few miles away in the credit union’s Westbury headquarters.
“We’re excited about our ambitious expansion plan this year, and Oceanside is another exciting chapter for us. It follows the same design and member access options as our recently-opened Bay Shore, Deer Park and Levittown branches. We are actively looking at deploying this same format in several of our existing branches but will do so over time and with consideration” said Eileen Nolan, executive vice president, chief marketing and sales officer at NEFCU. “These sleeker, tech-centric branches have allowed us to more effectively and efficiently enter new communities. But success is always predicated on delivering a banking experience for members that combines ease and speed with the need for personalized service, and these new branches provide the perfect balance for our members.”
The branch also boasts a digital solution center that utilizes an oversized touch-screen monitor to enable members to immediately download digital product brochures, obtain the latest rates, and access information about the credit union’s products and services at the touch of a finger.
