Point Breeze Credit Union recently made two donations totaling nearly $7,000 to the Carrol Hospital Foundation.
The first grant came as part of Point Breeze Credit Union’s Community Care Challenge, where Carroll Hospital Foundation was named a runner-up. Point Breeze donated $1,935, in honor of the year the credit union was founded, towards the Carroll Hospital’s community outreach and wellness initiatives. The donation was used in part to support the annual fall Total Health Expo, where Carroll Hospital staff offered free and low-cost health screenings and one-on-one health education.
A separate $5,000 donation will be used towards the emergent needs of Carroll Hospital, such as funding of the new Family Birthplace and modern technology used for diagnosis and treatments.

The Carroll Hospital Foundation exists to strengthen the charitable support of Carroll Hospital, a LifeBridge Health center. The hospital is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering the latest in medical technology, experienced medical professionals in a variety of specialties and a continuum of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
Annually, Carroll Hospital cares for over 13,400 inpatient and observation patients, has over 50,000 emergency department visits and almost 24,000 same day visits.
