Hughes Federal Credit Union received three Diamond Awards including one Best in Category from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council, a national network of more than 1,200 credit union professionals from around the country.
The Diamond Awards are CUNA’s top honors, recognizing outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry. The awards were presented to Hughes on March 13 at the Council’s 25th annual conference held in San Francisco, CA.
The Debit Card designs winning entry was recognized as Best in Category; one of the cards featured work by Tucson artist Diana Madaras. Other winners were the University of Arizona promotion #MyBearDownSelfie and the Merry Mobile Giveaway.
“Hughes is honored to receive national recognition for our marketing efforts for the past nine consecutive years with thanks to our remarkable team, which this year included the gifted local artist Diana Madaras,” said Kellie Terhune Neely, Vice President of Marketing at Hughes.
Hughes commissioned Madaras for her distinctive and bold style to create “Hughes Finger Rock,” featuring the Santa Catalina Mountains landmark. The colorful painting is featured on one of Hughes' Debit Cards. The new Debit Card designs join a suite of award-winning University of Arizona cards exclusive to Hughes Federal Credit Union.
