Oregonians Credit Union raises money for Special Olympics Oregon

Oregonians Credit Union announces they have raised $8,860 in their annual fundraiser for Special Olympics Oregon. Oregonians CU has been raising money for the past two months through staff and member donation.

Special Olympics Oregon provides sports training and competition for children, youth, and adults with intellectual disabilities. The Polar Plunge is one of Special Olympics Oregon’s most important fundraising events.

Participants in the Polar Plunge are asked to raise money and then participate in the culminating event which is a plunge into the Columbia River. 23 people plunged with the Oregonians team, several “plungers” also participated in the 5K run. The Oregonians Credit Union Team ranked 3rd among teams with the most money raised at the 2018 Portland Polar Plunge.

“I am so proud of the team. Everyone worked hard to fundraise for this great cause and it shows.” Jeff Schwarz, CFO Oregonians CU
