Kate Trahan retires after 14 years at Hanscom FCU

With appreciation for her years of hard work and commitment, Hanscom Federal Credit Union announces the retirement of Kate Trahan. Kate leaves her position in the Information Systems Department after 14 years with Hanscom FCU. Her last day of employment was March 30, 2018.

Kate joined Hanscom FCU in 2004 as an Operations Processor. Then in March 2013 she moved over to Information Systems, where she became Hanscom FCU’s first Help Desk Support.

“If a person’s career could be measured by all the smiles and good cheer she has brought to others, then Kate’s would be on the scale of Bill Gates or Warren Buffett,” said David Ossam, Hanscom FCU’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources. “Her bubbly and effervescent personality, her boundless enthusiasm, and her quickness to help and to encourage others have been lifting our spirits and making our days brighter for the last 14 years. She will very much be missed.”

Kate looks forward to joining her husband, Dennis, who is also retiring. The two plan many road trips, the first of which will be to watch the Red Sox beat the Blue Jays in Toronto. Kate also plans to spend time visiting her three daughters and five grandchildren and brushing up on her golf game with the new set of clubs Dennis gave her for retirement. She said she will also spend more time knitting time and hopes to donate some of her finished objects to charity.

“Kate was a dedicated employee,” said Chairman of the Board Paul Marotta. “We are grateful for her contributions, and all of us at Hanscom Federal Credit Union wish her a happy, healthy, and productive retirement.”
