Dort Federal Credit Union helps “Paint our Town Blue”

Did you know that more than five children die each day because of child abuse or neglect?  Dort Federal Credit Union is proud to participate in this years “Paint Our Town Blue” campaign.  Paint Our Town Blue is an initiative of Priority Children, Weiss Advocacy Center, and Whaley Children’s Center.  This campaign is Genesee County’s public awareness campaign promoting the prevention of child abuse and neglect in the community.  This movement is a collaboration of Genesee County nonprofits, community leaders, business and residents with an aim to raise it prevalence and the long term impacts it has on child development, as well at the social and economic conditions on our community.

Dort Federal Credit Union has blue pinwheels on the lawn of all their branches.  The pinwheels are a symbol of the great childhood that all children deserve.  The Paint Our Town initiative will provide a visual reminder to every one of the need for child protection in our community.
