Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) announced the renewal of its partnership with the Sacramento Region Community Foundation to support this year’s Big Day of Giving on May 3, 2018. Through a proportional match of up to $50,000, Golden 1 members can maximize their donations to Big Day of Giving by using their Golden 1 debit or credit cards.
“Big Day of Giving is a celebration of the incredible giving spirit of the Sacramento region,” said Erica Taylor, Vice President of Communications and Community Relations. “Golden 1 is dedicated to ensuring our members live their best financial lives and to investing in communities and organizations that make a positive impact on the people we serve. We are thrilled to once again partner with Big Day of Giving and provide a financial match that will make our members’ donations go even further.”
Golden 1 will match up to $50,000 in donations from members who use their Golden 1 credit or debit cards to donate at www.bigdayofgiving.org on May 3. The Golden 1 match will be proportionally divided between the charities supported by Golden 1 members. In 2017, Golden 1 members gave more than $465,000 during Big Day of Giving, which resulted in donations totaling $7.2 million among 599 organizations.
