Northwest Federal appreciates members with annual spring events

Northwest Federal Credit Union recently held its annual Member Appreciation Day event, including free food, carnival games, and interactive activities with their Community Partners. Over 1,000 members enjoyed the day participating in STEM experiments with the Children’s Science Center, a Mother’s Day craft from Arts Herndon, a dog adoption event with the Humane Society of Calvert County and more.

The following weekend Northwest Federal held its spring Shred Event where over 500 members shredded 23,000 pounds of documents for free. The credit union holds a Shred Event twice a year to encourage members to dispose of their sensitive documents securely. During this year’s spring Shred Event, the Herndon Woman’s Club collected donations for the Medical Missionaries of Manassas.

“Our members have many choices when it comes to where to bank, and we are honored that they choose Northwest Federal,” said President and CEO of Northwest Federal, Jeff Bentley. “Our annual Member Appreciation Day and Shred Events are two of the ways we show our appreciation and work to strengthen our ties with our members and our community.”
