Empower Federal Credit Union has awarded $10,000 in college scholarships to ten high school seniors to help finance their college education.
The students, were chosen based on their outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements.
“We are very pleased to award these scholarships to our hard-working young members,” said Mary Wilson, Vice President of Communications. “It proves that the ‘people helping people’ philosophy of the credit union movement is alive and well here in our community”
The high school seniors who received the awards were:
Madison LaPoint – will be attending Hamilton College
Clayton Markham – will be attending Cornell University
Mikeyla Bird – undecided
Grace Getman – undecided
Emma Bryant – will be attending Pittsburgh University
Jenna Wike – will be attending Merrimack College
Julie Silverman – undecided
Katherine Graziano – will be attending University of Scranton
Tyler Young – will be attending Nazareth College
Oliva Bird – Boston College
