Anheuser-Busch Employees’ Credit Union (ABECU) announced today that Reggie Swanigan joined the credit union as Chief Information Officer (CIO), reporting to ABECU Chief Executive Officer Robert McKay.
As a member of the ABECU executive leadership team, Swanigan will lead strategic planning, implementation, governance and oversight of all the credit union’s information technology activities, with a special focus on overseeing the credit union’s information systems, policies and procedures to safeguard the infrastructure, integrity, security and privacy of all Member information. He will also drive the development of new systems, enhancements and technologies to guide the ABECU Member experience, using technology in new and better ways to help Members achieve their financial goals.
Swanigan joins ABECU with more than 15 years of experience in IT strategy and leadership. Before ABECU, Swanigan served as the Senior Director of IT and Services at the American Association for Cancer Research in Philadelphia, where he developed and implemented a technology strategy to position the organization for growth and innovation.
“Reggie’s experience successfully leading IT operations at several diverse organizations adds significant value to our organization,” said McKay. “With his technological leadership, we look forward to bringing our Members an even better customer experience with more ways to help them reach their financial goals.”
Prior to his time at the American Association for Cancer Research, Swanigan was the Chief Information Officer at the American Optometric Association in St. Louis, where he executed an enterprise technology strategy for 53 state associations. He previously held leadership positions with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) in Mount Prospect, Illinois; the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA); the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL); and the Metropolitan Bank Group in Chicago, Illinois.
