Greylock awards $9,500 in scholarships to college bound seniors

Greylock Federal Credit Union announced awards to local college-bound high school students who each received $500 from the Credit Union’s annual “Community Enrichment” scholarship program. The scholarships were presented to community-minded senior class members from eleven Berkshire County high schools.

“Greylock is delighted to recognize outstanding Berkshire County students with Community Enrichment scholarships,” said Greylock President John L. Applicants were judged on community involvement and an essay that asked them to answer the question: “How would you use your education and your position to better your community?” The students wrote about how they would use their chosen field of interest to make the Berkshires the perfect place to work, play, and live. The scholarships are to be applied toward tuition at state-accredited or nationally-accredited two or four-year colleges or universities.

Greylock congratulates all of the students and thanks the teachers and guidance counselors who encouraged students to participate in the Greylock Scholarship application process.
