First Capital FCU staff paint a pavilion for the United Way Day of Action!

On Friday, June 22, 2018, First Capital Federal Credit Union staff volunteered to help the York County Department of Parks and Recreation during the United Way Day of Action.  Our team painted picnic tables and a pavilion at the Seven Valleys stop along the York County Heritage Rail Trail.

The Day of Action is one of the largest volunteer events in York County.  Nearly 1,000 people participated in 77 projects across York County.  And, managers at First Capital did their part to help out.

“When we come together we can make a difference,” said Tara Houser, VP of Marketing.  “It’s rewarding to know we did our part to help improve our community.”

The Heritage Rail Trail extends more than twenty-one miles through York County.  The trail is designed for hiking, bicycling, running, horseback riding, as well as winter sports such as cross-country skiing and snow shoeing.
