Heritage Credit Union has officially opened their new branch in Machesney Park, Illinois, commemorating the next chapter in their history with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The ceremony was held July 26, 2018 with an enthusiastic welcome from their membership, Board of Directors and the local community.
Established to support the employees of the Oscar Mayer® meat production company in Madison, Wisconsin in 1934, Heritage Credit Union’s roots were founded locally through the financial struggles of the Great Depression. Over time, the Credit Union grew rapidly. Recently, leadership identified a strong need for another branch location to support growth and provide additional space. They partnered with La Macchia Group, a national consulting and design/build firm, who performed a Strategic Market Analysis that identified Machesney Park in Illinois as a perfect fit for the new location due to its young, growing, and vibrant demographic.
With the location selected, La Macchia Group went to work and designed a new Heritage Credit Union branch that truly embodies their brand at every touchpoint. Using fresh, bright colors that reflect their logo, members experience the brand the moment they pull into the parking lot and take their first steps inside the welcoming and well-lit interior.
A unique design feature of the new branch is the stylistic work contributed by a local artist who created custom brand images that serve as a main focal point. Many of the images can be seen from outside the building, creating an additional brand touchpoint for members and the community.
Upon entering the lobby of the new branch, members are able to easily interact with the central amenities zone that features financial resources at the iPad Bar and refreshments at the Convenience Bar. This custom fixture has a circle design that mimics the Heritage Credit Union logo. Above the amenities zone boasts a large soffit that features custom images, again by the local artist. Beyond the amenities zone, members enter the transaction zone with custom teller pods that create an upscale retail environment in the lobby. Surrounding the lobby, members and staff can meet in private offices that feature modern sliding doors and elegant window features.
With the addition of the new branch in Machesney Park, Heritage Credit Union is now serving over 27,000 members in Wisconsin and Illinois. The team remains steadfast in their mission and can now effectively support their members and provide them with the best service possible.
