Leaders at the Waterloo, Iowa-based Veridian Credit Union have been busy making good on their 2016 announcement to open 10 to 15 Omaha-area branches within the next 10 years. The fifth of those branches opened today at 17050 Wright Plaza at The Shops of Legacy.
“There’s a growing awareness of the credit union difference,” said Branch Manager Clint Adams. “Veridian is ranked first nationally for providing value to members, and we’re eager to share the value of member-owned, cooperative financial services with more new members in Omaha.”
The new branch is 5,000 square feet with space for commercial, mortgage and other consumer lending. It also offers safe deposit boxes, a coin machine, six teller stations and three drive-up lanes, including one with an ATM. Veridian’s other area branches include one on West Maple Road and one on S. 144th Street in Omaha, one in Papillion and one in Council Bluffs.
