Allegacy Federal Credit Union donates $15,000 to hurricane relief efforts

As communities in the path of Hurricane Florence continue to deal with its aftermath, Allegacy Federal Credit Union is donating a total of $15,000 to the relief efforts.

Allegacy made a $7,500 donation to the American Red Cross to support long-term recovery in the wake of the hurricane. Recognizing credit union members that live and work in impacted areas, Allegacy has provided $7,500 to The National Credit Union Foundation for CUAID, where donations are distributed efficiently to affected credit union employees and volunteers.

“It's so devastating to read and see Hurricane Florence's disastrous effects on the Carolinas,” said Cathy Pace, Allegacy President and CEO. “Allegacy stands by the credit union industry motto of ‘People helping People’ and we live out this commitment by always doing the right thing for our members and the communities we serve. We encourage employees, members and other businesses to join us in our hurricane relief donation efforts.”
