To foster and empower the aspiring young professionals in our industry here, the Louisiana Credit Union League's Young Professionals Network (YPN) and Louisiana Credit Union Foundation are pleased to announce that an annual scholarship has been established for one lucky individual to attend Credit Union Development Education Program (CUDE) training in Madison, WI.
Working in partnership, the scholarship will be awarded each year to help reinforce, understand and value the differences in the credit union business model. Applications will be accepted between October 1 and November 30 each year for one of the four DE training events the following year.
What is CUDE?
This unique and transformative training provides critical lessons in cooperative principles, credit union philosophy and international development issues while incorporating challenges credit unions face today.
Who is eligible for scholarship?
This program is ideal for credit unions staff who have demonstrated through their actions their passion and commitment to credit unions. Complete applicant criteria can be found on the League's website.
What is included?
The scholarship covers all expenses (lodging, meals, and materials) for the training. All travel expenses to and from Madison are the responsibility of the credit union or applicant.
After completion of the program, the scholarship recipient will prepare a brief summary of his/her educational experience to share with the Foundation and YPN.
