MWCUA leads executive hike

Mountain West Credit Union Association recently led a group of our member CEOs on a high-level “hike the hill” trip. The group participated in meetings that ranged from political to public policy. Meetings included time with the NRCC (National Republican Congressional Committee) to talk congressional races around the nation. They also discussed policy issues with the House Majority Leader’s office, the Pew Foundation and members of Congress from around the nation.

In addition, the met with Congresswoman Martha McSally and Congressman Andy Biggs from Arizona and Senators John Barrasso and Cory Gardner from Wyoming and Colorado, respectively.

The group also had a chance to meet with the head of IT for the White House, who explained the complexities and challenges of securing the White House technology, and led a private tour of the White House West Wing and the executive office building.

Jay Curtis (First CU), Dave Doss (OneAZ CU), Chris Kearney (TruWest CU), Tim Dore (MWCUA), Kim Withers (Meridian Trust FCU), Mike Williams (Colorado CU), Greg Mills (Aventa CU) and Todd Pearson (AZ Central CU).
