Michelle Berridge joins Bay Federal Credit Union’s Supervisory Committee

Michelle Berridge, controller for Alvarez Technology Group, has joined Bay Federal Credit Union’s all-volunteer Supervisory Committee.

The Supervisory Committee evaluates the policies and procedures in place at the Credit Union to ensure they properly protect members’ assets, and it is charged with selecting an independent licensed auditor to perform a review of the Credit Union’s financial condition each year.

Mrs. Berridge has decades of experience in accounting after having worked across a number of industries, including entertainment, manufacturing, distribution, non-profits, and technology. She joins Co-Chair Suzanne Shaug, Co-Chair Pat Pfremmer, and Richard Mills on the committee.

“I’ve been a proud member of Bay Federal Credit Union for over 20 years,” Berridge said. “This is my opportunity to give back and also to deepen my relationship with an entity that I view as playing an integral part of positive change in our community.”

Berridge holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting. She is a controller for Alvarez Technology Group in Salinas and lives in Watsonville, CA with her husband, Ken.

Supervisory Committee members are selected by the Board of Directors and are required to be members of the credit union. Tami Corum, who previously served on the Supervisory Committee, is now an associate director on the credit union’s Board of Directors.
