Charles Doherty, Jr., RTN Federal Credit Union Board Member and Former Chairman of RTN’s Board of Directors, passed away on September 25.
A former Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration for Granada North America, Charlie was a Credit Union member and director for more than forty years. He served as Chairman of RTN’s Board and served on RTN’s Executive Committee.
Charlie received an accounting degree and MBA in Finance from Boston College, and was a graduate of the Executive Management Program at Amos Tuck Dartmouth College. Beloved husband of Dorothea (Dottie) Sparrow, Charlie was a loving father and devoted grandfather. He was actively involved in the New England Hemophilia Association, serving as Chief Financial Officer and overseeing successful fundraising events for the organization for many years.
“Charlie was dedicated to ensuring our Credit Union’s unwavering commitment to helping our members and supporting our local community,” says Richard Wright, “His own generosity and volunteerism reflected the values of the Credit Union movement, and we were fortunate to benefit from his wisdom and guidance as well as his friendship.”
