Greater Texas Credit Union held a groundbreaking celebration to commence the construction of its new free-standing, full-service branch to be located at 1425 North Center St., Arlington, TX 76011 on October 30, 2018.
Greater Texas Credit Union has been serving Texans since 1952, and the Arlington community since 1998, when it moved its facility from Fort Worth. The new Arlington Branch will be a relocation of the credit union from its current location at 910 Road to Six Flags E., where it has been since December 4, 2000.
The Arlington branch will be 3300 sq. ft. with 3 drive thru lanes and drive-thru ATM to better serve credit union members. Planned to open in the fall of 2019, Greater Texas Credit Union is excited to expand its reach and service to the Arlington community. As with all locations, the new Arlington location will also participate in the CO-OP Shared Branch Service Center Network allowing Greater Texas the ability to serve members of other credit unions as they travel across the state.
Greater Texas Credit Union CEO & President, Howard Baker and Board Chairperson, Penny Rychetsky shared a few words to kick off the festivities, and City of Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams welcomed the expansion and shared his excitement for growth. Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce Senior Vice President, Investor and Business Development Henry Lewczyk also spoke of collaboration and community support while local non-profit partners from the community listed in.
