Danny DeLaRosa welcomed as chief development officer

Greater Nevada Credit Union hires 16-year credit Union veteran to senior leadership team

Danny DeLaRosa recently joined Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) as its new chief development officer.

In this role, DeLaRosa will oversee marketing as well as strategic development for Nevada’s largest domiciled, community-owned financial institution. DeLaRosa will also manage two newly created departments, people development and business development. The chief development officer role will benefit both GNCU and its wholly owned subsidiaries, Greater Nevada Mortgage and Greater Commercial Lending.

A proven leader in building strategic partnerships and expanding business development, DeLaRosa has been in the financial services industry for more than 16 years at various banks and credit unions. Throughout his career, DeLaRosa has moved from a terminal collections representative and recovery specialist to branch manager and then to numerous senior leadership positions, including vice president of member relations/market and chief sales officer.

Showing his dedication to ongoing professional development and commitment to strategic management of financial institutions, DeLaRosa earned his certified senior executive certification from the CUES Schools of Applied Strategic Management in 2013.

DeLaRosa has a passion for community involvement and has served on a number of community advisory boards in northern Nevada including The Chamber, Economic Development of Northern Nevada (EDAWN), Renown Health, Junior Achievement, Washoe County School District, Boys and Girls Club of the Truckee Meadows, Education Alliance, and United Way.
