Resource One Credit Union has named Cherie Goosen as its new chief financial officer effective Monday, August 26, 2019. Credit Union Resources conducted the executive search for the $515 million credit union.
Goosen’s credit union experience and expertise in finance and accounting will be a valuable asset to the executive team at Resource One CU. Her passion for building high performing teams, streamlining systems, and strategic leadership will help Resource One continue to provide exceptional service to its members.
Goosen comes to Resource One from Alert Logic in Houston, Texas, where she served as vice president accounting/corporate controller. She was responsible for leading a multidisciplined team of 15 people focused on the preparation of financial statements, AR, AP, treasury and supporting the business in creation of quotes and
recording of sales. At Alert Logic, Goosen developed a strategy and plan to improve the order to cash process, controls, and technology.
Prior to working at Alert Logic, Goosen was the vice president finance at Security Benefit in Topeka, Kansas, where she was responsible for leading a team of seven people in driving a culture of expense management, process optimization, ICFR, and enterprise risk awareness.
Goosen holds a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. Additionally, Goosen is a licensed CPA in Illinois.
