MECU Credit Union Greeter Cecil Farrar has been recognized as one of the 2019 Credit Union Rock Stars by Credit Union Magazine. Each year, Credit Union Magazine recognizes those in the credit union industry who excel in their areas of expertise.
Farrar is being recognized this year for his dedication to creating positive experiences for every employee, member, and potential member that walks through the doors of MECU’s Commerce Center location in Baltimore.
“It’s creative, innovative and passionate professionals like Farrar who keep the movement relevant to our members,” said Ann Hayes Peterson, vice president of publishing and editor-in-chief at CUNA. “We hope to inspire other credit union professionals to use their unique talents and expertise to spread the credit union difference. We knew Farrar’s accomplishments would be a motivational story that others could learn from.”
All of the winners were nominated by their colleagues and selected by the editorial staff of Credit Union Magazine. This year, 50 professionals representing 30 states were named as one of this year’s Credit Union Rock Stars. Farrar and the other winners will be featured in Credit Union Magazine’s Fall issue, sponsored by Fiserv.
