MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) had another successful Amazon Prime Day promotion, recording more than $856,000 in transactions made with MSUFCU debit or credit cards. There were 19% more transactions this year than during the 2018 promotion, surpassing the promotion’s goal of 15%. In addition, more than 10,280 members used their cards during Prime Day hours.
“Amazon Prime Day has become a big cyber sales event each year, and we are pleased our members take advantage of the great deals offered,” said Deidre Davis, MSUFCU’s Chief Marketing Officer. “With our Amazon Prime Day promotion, we encouraged members to use their debit and credit cards by offering them the chance to win a $250 gift card.”
The Credit Union promotion offered members an opportunity to win gift cards for using their MSUFCU Visa Debit or Credit Cards on Amazon Prime Day (July 15-16, 2019). The Credit Union’s promotion encouraged card-holding members to learn about and responsibly use their debit and credit cards while offering a fun and engaging promotion. At the end of the promotion, one MSUFCU member who used a MSUFCU Debit Card and another one who used a MSUFCU Credit Card during Amazon Prime Day were randomly selected to each receive a $250 gift card.
Rates on MSUFCU’s Visa Credit Cards are typically significantly lower than the national average. The Credit Union recently introduced its Visa Signature Credit Card offering up to 3% cash back on items members purchase every day. MSUFCU debit cards are free with checking accounts and offer a convenient way to make purchases.
