KEMBA Financial Credit Union, a $1.4 billion credit union based in Central Ohio, recently held a food drive contest between its various departments and branches as part of its annual Community Service Day. We are proud to share that we donated more than 1700 pounds of food to the Westerville Area Resource Ministry in Westerville, Ohio, which provides short-term assistance for individuals in need. This is enough to feed a family of three for an entire year. In total, KEMBA associates donated more than 6000 items of food to four Central Ohio food banks.
In addition to the food bank donations, KEMBA’s 250-plus associates spread out across Central Ohio to donate their time and energy to various community organizations for the 10th year in a row, such as local city and community organizations, various park and food pantries, Meals on Wheels, United Way, Ronald McDonald House, the YMCA, the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio and more.
“Giving back to the communities we serve is core to our mission as a credit union,” said Mark Decello, President and CEO. “I’m proud of this amazing team of associates who recognizes our purpose and contributed not only to this initiative, but who also support our mission each and every day.”
I’ve included a picture of the food donation for the Westerville Area Resource Ministry as well as a picture of our Information Technology Team volunteering at the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio, please let me know if I can provide any additional information. Thank you!
