This month, One Nevada Credit Union presented a check for $2,665 to Make-A-Wish® Southern Nevada after matching the donations collected at their fall shred event. One Nevada holds two shred events annually encouraging the community to shred their confidential documents and help protect their identity. The shredding service is free to the public, but donations were accepted benefiting Make-A-Wish® Southern Nevada.
The event was so successful that One Nevada decided to make a matching contribution after Las Vegas residents generously donated a record $1,332.10. The donations help southern Nevada’s local Make-A-Wish Chapter in its mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
“Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada is grateful for the support of amazing partners within our community, like One Nevada. Involvement from these community partners helps us get closer to realizing our vision to grant the wish of every eligible child in southern Nevada,” said Etta Salaj, Events and Development Coordinator.
