Advancial Federal Credit Union donated its former branch building located at 309 S. Belt Line Road in Mesquite to Mesquite ISD. The donation was formally accepted by the trustees at their meeting on Monday, November 11. The 1,472 square foot former branch was valued at approximately $260,000.
“We’re so glad that this worked out, we really love this community” said Advancial’s Mesquite Branch Manager, Bobbie Phillips, who attended the meeting where the donation was recognized. “We’re excited to see how our former branch will make a positive impact for local students.”
“With the building being right across the street from Mesquite High School, donating it to the district just made sense,” said Brent Sheffield, President and Chief Executive Officer for Advancial. “Our local team did the legwork and worked with school district leadership to make it a reality.”
Advancial has been serving members in Mesquite for more than two decades at their former location and opted to build a new location in 2019. Construction was completed on their new branch located at 2151 N. Belt Line Road in early Q3 and doors opened in early September.
