Sherpa Technologies announces new and re-appointed board members

Sherpa Technologies, a wholly-owned CUSO of Corporate One Federal Credit Union, has appointed a new member to its board of directors and re-appointed two current board members to new, two-year terms.

Andre Carter, Vice President of Technology Infrastructure of Gulf Winds Credit Union in Pensacola, Florida, will replace Chris Rutledge, President and CEO of Gulf Winds, beginning in September. With more than 20 years of experience in IT project management, network planning and design, and logistics, Carter previously held the positions of IT Operations Manager for Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, Florida, and Manager, IT & Managed Services, for C Spire in Mobile, Alabama, before joining Gulf Winds CU in 2019. As Sherpa’s newest board member, Andre will serve a two-year term.

“We’re excited to welcome Andre to Sherpa’s board due to his in-depth knowledge of and experience with technology operations and infrastructure,” said Melissa Ashley, CEO/president of Corporate One and Sherpa’s board chair. “We’re grateful for Chris’ service to Sherpa's board since its inception in 2019, and we’ll miss the leadership and insights he provided.”

Current Sherpa board members Jim Horlacher, EVP, Chief Information Officer of Corporate One, and John Graham, President/CEO of Expree Credit Union in Frankfort, Kentucky, were re-elected to new, two-year terms. Sherpa’s remaining board members are Melissa Ashley and Tammy Cantrell, EVP, Chief Product Strategist, also of Corporate One. Both Melissa and Tammy were appointed to three-year terms in 2018.
