Nick Serrano, vice president of mortgage sales at Greater Nevada Mortgage (GNM), has been selected as the national co-chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) education networking group. Serrano will help run and facilitate the MBA’s education networking group, serving alongside other mortgage bankers from across the United States.
Serrano currently leads all mortgage consultant training at GNM, a subsidiary of Greater Nevada Credit Union. The enhanced education that stems from Serrano’s new role in the MBA will strengthen the education of all mortgage consultants at GNM. MBA is the only association representing all segments of the real estate finance industry. The organization unites the interests of diverse stakeholders, from main street to wall street, spanning all aspects of real estate finance, including commercial, multifamily and residential.
“It’s an honor to be selected as the co-chair for the MBA’s education networking group,” Serrano said. “I’m thrilled to bring my expertise and knowledge from GNM to steer the curriculum of the MBA’s education networking group for others across the country.”

Serrano has been with Greater Nevada Mortgage since 2004. GNM has been a member of the MBA since 2001. Serrano earned his Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) certification from the MBA in 2017 and his Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) certification from the MBA in 2019.
