Redwood Credit Union (RCU) recently named two new associate board members to its board of directors: Jeri Hansen and David Gouin.
RCU’s board of directors sets the credit union’s strategic direction and policies. As associate board members, Hansen and Gouin will attend all board meetings and participate in key discussions but will not currently take part in votes. Because the credit union is a not-for-profit cooperative, all RCU board members and associate board members serve voluntarily.
Jeri Hansen: Jeri Hansen is principal at Jeri Hansen Company, specializing in community engagement, public policy, and strategic planning. Prior to that, she was CEO of Sustainable Napa County and public affairs manager for the Napa Valley Vintners. Appointed by Governor Jerry Brown to the Napa Valley Exposition Board of Directors in 2014, Hansen is currently vice president of that board. She is also the current chair of the Workforce Alliance of the North Bay, a joint powers authority of Napa, Lake, Marin, and Mendocino Counties focusing on workforce and economic development efforts and programs. In 2017, she was recognized by California State Senator Bill Dodd as Senate District 3 Woman of the Year for Napa County.
David Gouin: David Gouin has served as a volunteer on RCU’s Supervisory Committee since 2008, as part of the team that oversees the audit function for the credit union. Gouin has over 30 years of public service experience with the County of Sonoma, City of Vacaville, and City of Santa Rosa, and currently serves as director of Housing and Community Services for the City of Santa Rosa. He served on the Bennett Valley School Board and has been involved in several local organizations such as Petaluma Ecumenical Properties, the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce, and Leadership Santa Rosa.
