Abound Credit Union wins 2020 Kentucky Governor’s Service Award

Abound Credit Union was officially recognized through a virtual awards ceremony on Saturday, October 24th for winning a 2020 Kentucky Governor’s Service Award. This statewide program recognizes individuals, national service members, groups, nonprofits, and businesses from across the Commonwealth who have demonstrated extraordinary service to their communities.

The business category, in which Abound Credit Union was nominated for its $1.5 million long-term investment in military and community health, specifically recognizes businesses that have made an impact through innovation, volunteer hours, number of volunteers, monetary support and more. Abound Credit Union’s ten-year financial commitment and partnership, made through the Hardin Memorial Health Foundation, was first announced in November 2019 to help expand services at HMH Medical Group Radcliff Family Medicine clinic located near the Wilson Gate of Fort Knox. This unique partnership was formed to offer holistic care that addresses not only physical health, but also mental, social and financial health for the benefit of the community.

“We’re honored to receive a 2020 Kentucky Governor’s Service Award. Abound Credit Union is dedicated to helping active-duty military, veterans and the surrounding community achieve more by improving their financial health. Our commitment to having a long-lasting, life-changing impact on all those we serve is unwavering,” said Ray Springsteen, President/CEO of Abound Credit Union.
