Capital Credit Union promotes Schmidt

Kurt T. Schmidt was recently promoted to chief information officer at Capital Credit
Union. In this position and as a member of the credit union’s executive team, Schmidt will manage all aspects of Capital Credit Union’s information systems and technology initiatives and strategy. In addition, he will oversee the credit union’s information technology, loan operations, processing and servicing departments.

employees. His focus on the quality of our credit union's technology and digital services directly impacts and improves member experience,” says Capital Credit Union CEO Vance Reinbold. “In this new role, Kurt will continue to be an integral part of helping our credit union grow and thrive.”

Schmidt graduated from the University of Mary in 1993 with bachelor’s degrees in computer information systems and business. He is active in the Credit Union National Association Technology Council and serves as vice chair on its Member Resources Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Board of the Directors for the Technology Council of North Dakota. Within the community, he is an active member of the Missouri Valley Family YMCA Board of Directors and past treasurer of the Bismarck Hockey Boosters Board. Schmidt has been with Capital Credit Union since 2007, most recently as vice president of information technology.
