Patelco Credit Union, a Bay Area-based credit union dedicated to the financial wellness of its members and communities, is passionate about giving back and is committed to supporting organizations helping food security. Recently, a group of Patelco team members packed more than 20,000 meals in collaboration with Kids Against Hunger Bay Area and other volunteers to support the non-profit’s Ukrainian refugee relief efforts.
Patelco team members participated in two relief efforts in March at the Kids Against Hunger Bay Area’s Pleasanton offices. The non-profit organization has packed and shipped more than 585,000 meals to Ukraine to date.
“Giving back to the communities we serve and helping others is the heart of our credit union,” said Wendy Haller, Patelco’s vice president of member experience. “We’re passionate about the work that Kids Against Hunger Bay Area is doing to feed starving children in the United States and in developing countries and our team was grateful to support these efforts that are making a direct impact in feeding Ukrainian refugees.”
