First Capital Federal Credit Union supported Give Local York with a $1,500 donation. In commemoration of when First Capital was founded (1954), on May 6th at 19:54 (7:54 pm) all gifts up to $100 were matched by the Credit Union until the minute was over or until the $1,500 Match Minute Pool was depleted. Give Local York is a 24-hour giving day, hosted by the White Rose Leadership Institute designed to support nonprofit organizations and growing philanthropy in York, Pennsylvania. The event takes place on the first Friday in May. This year the event raised more than 4 million dollars.
